But, uh, not before we say hello to this guy, longest running co-bro of the show, maybe best known for his depictions of the Tall Ships.

He had a cold last week.

Now he's dealing with some sort of unusual physical symptoms that he was telling me about off air.

Oh, and we'll talk to this guy.

We're not going to cover all the history right now, but what is the Windjammer way? What's the concept, and what should people know about that before we get started?

Well, we're the revival of a tall ship cruise line, a legendary Miami brand.

called Windjammer Barefoot Cruises.

It was around for 64 years and they closed shop in 2008 and left behind tens of thousands of diehard fans.

But I know that an awful lot of people, especially around my age range, definitely resonate with Windjammer Barefoot.

They kind of have an idea of what that looks like.

But I can't remember if you said Tall Ship, but for those people that have never heard of Windjammer at all, what are we talking

about? We're talking about beautiful, classic sailing ships.

Uh, we have got to say hello to this guy before we get any further into the show.

You know, all kinds of good stuff.

The Tall Ships were in town this summer.

The Red Sox won 21 games in a row.

That was a lot of fun to be a part of.

So, you know, just kind of some, some little like freight marketing here and there, but one of the coolest things, and I don't know if you saw this cause I know you don't, you don't play too much on Twitter, but this, the tall ships, did you see any of that footage that came out? No.

No.

So for the 250, so let me go back to my notes really quick because for the 250, New York Harbor, July 3rd through the 8th, it just wrapped.

It was the largest peacetime maritime gathering in American history.

tall ships from 20 nations sailed from the Verrazio Bridge, passed in review at the Statue of Liberty, and then went up to the Hudson to the George Washington Bridge.

And it was flanked by 40-plus naval vessels in only the seventh international naval review ever had.

It was 100-plus aircraft led by the Blue Angels.

All of our residents are able to access our parking garages when they're not allowed to park on the streets for snowstorms.

They were a part of the World Cup and 250th and Tall Ships extravaganzas over the summer and allowing visitors and tourists to enjoy our city and have such a positive impression around the world.

And so we want to keep that going rather than head down a pathway where we're actually not only hurting our community members, but creating long-term economic damage for everyone, including these very businesses.

i knew that we had just passed a door into the tall ships restaurant of the marriott hotel the adjoining three world trade center and i knew we had just run by that door so that's what i was going for because i wanted to get the structure of that building over my head to try to live i yelled to the medics follow me We ran back toward the door.

In the end, we all lived.

Miraculous.

I dove into the Tall Ships restaurant, and it was as clear as this room.

And snap of your fingers, it went pitch black like that.

The South Tower was collapsing onto the Marriott Hotel, and now the Marriott Hotel was collapsing around us and around me.

What was it that attracted you to that?

Well, you see, I was looking out to the sea from Hellwig Head there, talking to Bill Graves and his father, the Tall Ships.

They worked on the Tall Ships, sailing around Cape Horn and coming back with all these stories.

Bill, I was going on to Mrs. Murray, a large bottle and a small little thing of powers.
