He is at the Salt River Grand Ballroom tomorrow night at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona for the Collective Soul Show.

I looked up where the concert is tomorrow because I know he's going tomorrow.

This Talking Stick Resort is huge, and there's a huge ballroom there.

But the tickets aren't bad.

I was 21.

I was going to talking stick like five days a week while I had a job, while I was playing poker in a fraternity with a girlfriend.

Like I was doing way too many things.

I mean, that's still quite a drive.

I mean, not quite a drive.

It's like 45 minutes to get a talking stick from Arizona state, right? No, no.

There are other holes that we could certainly talk about, important boundary holes.

But I wanna move now to the modern period and to a course called Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This is the second hole at the Talking Stick, uh, Otham Course.

I think that's how you pronounce it.

I have learned literally, PJ, 15 or 16 different times how to pronounce the name of this course.

I've been there once for a pool party.

What's it called? Talking Stick Resort.

And this is in Vegas?

No, no, no, no.

games? It depends.

There is one casino here in town called Talking Stick that has, like, most of the bigger games, and I've definitely spent a lot of time there over the years, but these days, like, less, mostly just because I've been fortunate enough that I don't feel like I have as much pressure to play all the time.

so i'll go in if there's like bigger games but it's here in phoenix like it's kind of a small player pool so it's going to be sporadic to have a bigger game right you have to have like a couple people willing to organize or like this is i wouldn't call it a private game but this is the advantage i guess to the whole like privatization which is just that like you now kind of have to organize to like have a game which like in your if you're in a small um town like that's actually good because now you don't drive over there for nothing right so right um i guess my answer is that i play a decent amount but not nearly as much as what is the

talking stick game It depends.

All right, let's talk about some recent tournament winners, Mike, real quick.

One of them I want to shout out is the Arizona State Poker Championship at Talking Stick down in the Phoenix area.

This was the 20th anniversary.

This has long been one of the largest tournaments I call it standalone events, like an event that's not associated with a poker tour, a WPT, WSOP, MSPT.

This is a regional room that hosts their own event.

Talking Stick has had this tournament for many years, 4,018 runners.

This thing has just been huge for many years.

It's because it's such a well-run poker room.

from the injured list that was a restricted list, again, turned into an injured list stint because of the knee issue.

And Marte was rehabbing in Arizona, and then he found himself at Talking Stick Casino while the team was playing at home.

And he made his return to the clubhouse.

He made his return to the lineup yesterday for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

I'm not sure what changed off of the three weeks.

you know, outside of a couple winning sessions at Talking Stick Casino.

I don't know what helped fix it, but if he's fixed, that's an interesting conversation.

But do you think he's worthwhile rostering 10 and 12 team? Because I have a really hard time dumping him in a 12 team league.

It was fun to get granular with Bill about how he and his team, from start to finish, yield the great projects that they're responsible for.

Anything from Talking Stick, where there was not one piece of contour on the property.

all the way to Terai Links on the shores in New Zealand and everything in between.

Just got a lot of great backstories and information that gave insight into not only what his process was, but how it evolved into what it is today.
