It was, I think it was on Comedy Central late at night, and he would just show-

This is, like, 30 years ago, I think.

I feel like I was getting that from Smodcast at the time.

You know what I used to listen to also similarly? Kevin Smith had a Frasier podcast called Talk Soup and Scrambled Eggs.

I never watched Frasier, but I would listen to that show.

And I would just learn about Frasier episode by episode.

He's a

great host because I loved him on Talk Soup.

He is good.

He's the best there.

Greg went on to the Academy Award, Greg Kinnear.

And that show was called Talk Soup.

And Talk Soup went 26 years.

One of the things that I think of when I think of E! is that you guys kind of helped shift that celebrity coverage from polished promotion to let's see what's really going on with that person behind the scenes.

Like, we're going to strip it back.

Hollywood is funny stuff.

Don't try and make believe it's not.

So, you know, when you think of talk soup and Howard Stern and the Hollywood true story and the Kardashian, I mean, those are all, you know, my sensibilities.

There is an advantage sometimes of, like, not being one of the industry insiders and not knowing what you can't do.

So that show was called Talk Soup.

I remember that.

And Talk Soup, you know, the show that everybody said you couldn't do ran 26 years.

You know, it was incredibly longstanding.

And then, you know, we were doing – you know, we applied for credentials for the Academy Awards and we got turned down.

You know, it was exactly, you know, it was bringing Howard.

And when, you know, I told the crew there, I said, I want to put cameras in this guy's radio studio.

I'm sure there's some very problematic things in it.

But as a gay guy, seeing Hal Sparks do something gay, seeing the guy from Talk Soup be gay, that was cool as hell.

I loved it.

fucking talk soup yeah no I've I've never checked it out but I do love that a quick story involving dad immediately went to how he manufactured his own persecution as a Christian like I can't I can't think of a better example to be quite hanging up across and someone else's living space and someone else's living room I don't want this in my living space and well why not well why not and why not though I yeah I love that that's oh man
