So games like Midway's Gunfight, which was 1975. uh basically had a microprocessor based redesign of tito's western gun so it was like a rip-off of another thing all atari's home ports of arcade titles they acted as a primitive technical upgrade though they are usually classified as adaptations or conversions so also in the the in the 90s we had the the classic 16-bit compilations so nintendo would bring out a compilation super mario all-stars is the one that they term here where there was a lot of sss nes uh games like mega man the willy wars um they were bundled together so they were bundled all these older nes titles but those were updated graphics redrawn sprites and refined audio so so that kind of technically is some of the earliest commercial uh multi-game remaster remakes so probably one of the first ones But then, of course, as we got into the later 90s, when we got into the PlayStation, we started to see some remasters of JRPGs.

So that would be a pretty good way to describe a remaster um of course now it's it's a very um common thing to see it's like it's basically an industry trend um and they sort of pen it back like when we start looking a little bit of the history the hd remasters was where a lot of these uh trends started to happen it's like hey you've played it in this old version you could play this more modernized version And the God of War collection, which was released in 2009, was one of the first ones to do these HD remasters.

Further along through, you get to Toppo's boss fight, and it is an inscrutable rhythm game, where it isn't obvious when it wants you to do the Simon Says part.

And, like, the music, right as she finishes, starts the loop over, but then, like, four beats into the loop, it then starts to loop over again to be the time when she dances.
