Tal Farlow

I love Pat Metheny.

I love Charlie Christian and Tal Farlow.

I don't sound like that.

When I play, what seems to naturally come out and what I gravitate toward is really... is really a sort of syllabus that was created by Alex's work.

I mean, we studied him so deeply in college.

And Tal Farlow's style is essentially his whole thing, I feel like.

And when I really went into Bird, I looked in the Omnibook, and I feel like he has a few signature licks.

He does.
