Take a Chance on Me

I was a big, big fan of the band ABBA back in the '70s, and I loved it when Jake and the guys came out with this one.

It's ABBA's song Take a Chance on Me from the Chardon Polka Band.

Change your mind.

Take a chance.

Take a chance.

Take a chance.

Take a chance on me.

Take a chance.

Romeo and Juliet.

Yeah, dude, AB-, we're doing, like, uh, Take, Take a Chance on Me.

We'd do like a whole-

Doing Juliet

What ABBA song was it?

Uh, we did, um, Take a Chance on Me.

Nice.

Well, because you want something upbeat...

The official chart crown all through, uh, June, uh, belonged to Erasure with their Abba-esque EP.

Four Abba covers and, uh, the one everyone hummed was Take a Chance on Me.

It sat at number one, uh, for weeks while football and fighting games fought for attention.

Here's a taste of Erasure's Take a Chance on Me.

If you've got no place to go.

When you feel in town.

It's my favorite, so I'll make note of this, but it's...

so take a chance on me the beginning no music and you know it started off

acapella and uh

the ladies singing their part, and then the guys with the which is what I've been singing now for two weeks of us listening to this.

every song is too long except for the ones under four minutes and the winner takes it all because the winner takes it all needs to build like that's the only song like it builds consistently the other ones don't build they start out loud and just repeat five times

yeah

And I just don't think it needs that because what happened to me a lot in this album would be, I would start a song, take a chance on me as a great example.

And I'd be like, Oh, this is a pretty good song.

It's time for Jake's questionable song of the day on early break on 93.7 The Ticket and theticketfm.com.

Take a chance on me Gonna do my very best Song

of the Day, Take a Chance on Me by ABBA, 1978.

4, 6, 4, 5, 6, 8, 5, 1 is bad, 10 is good.

Texa Ray and the starter, Heyman Hewler's Song of the Day.

When I dream I'm

alone with you, it's me.

I can't let go If you change your mind I'm the first in line Honey, I'm still free Take a chance on me If you need me, let me know I'm gonna be around If you got no place to go I'm feeling down

So the whole concert or the whole show was so loud, so much hooting, so much laughter, so much cheering.

When it got to the song that I had to do, which is Take a Chance on Me.

Oh, that just came full circle.

Yeah.

Take a chance on me, take a chance on yourself.

Take a chance on yourself, yeah.

So good.
