Tadley

It took me 20 minutes to explain that to you.

quite short for me i want to i want to get it i want to feel different on budget day because i'm getting older and i worry about my children's future i worry about my retirement i worry about all the things that i used to think only sad old people worried about oh god i'm a sad old person Chris is in Tadley.

Chris, what would you like to say?

Hi, James, and thank you for having me and sharing from another sad old person.

I think they're already out.

But the sort of next local non-league team to me is Tadley.

And they were in, they made it to the final qualifying round for the FA Cup.

They're in the ninth tier of English football.

So one of my clients and friends, Nick, shout out Nick, he listens to the podcast, also Ginger, United fan.

So he's having a tough time football-wise.

And so his friend is manager of Tadley.

And Tadley drew Aldershot in the final qualifying round in Aldershot, which is also relatively local to here.

We're friendly with football in Berkshire, we do a great job, voluntary site, put a lot of content out there.

But Tadley and Kaleva, who were playing, have got their replay against Aldershot tomorrow night, so Tuesday.

Really, really hope they get through because they've got a game up at Barnsley if they win.

huge, huge opportunity for them, you know, to, to be Aldershot managed by former Reading, uh, Royal, uh, Scott Davis, by the way.

So, you know, Tadley is a, is a, is a, it's a strange place, but it's, it's local to Reading.

Um, really, really nice ground.

My son's played there.

Really, really nice set up.

has the team that in the first round hat is now the lowest ranked side in the tie.

And that, Louis, that is Tadley.

So I'm going to start us off with this one and then I'm going to throw to you guys as well.

So Aldershot twice took the lead in this one.

And the first time it was on the stroke of halftime for a deflected Alfie Burton effort.

And then, like I said, Stickland put them back 2-1 up with a header before sub Charlie Barlow stabbed the ball home for 2-2.

And then Tadley nearly won this in added time when Barlow headed towards goal again.

But Nick Hayes pulled out a great save in this one.

So yeah, Rushden and Diamonds for me, a full house on the cup shock for that one.

I believe I'm up next with, uh, Aldershot Town against Tadley Calder.

So a bit of a Hampshire derby, this one.

Only 17 miles separate these two sides.

Uh, an outstanding performance.

I believe Tommy Widdrington was in charge for that one.

Um, when we come on to Tadley Calder, currently 11th in the Combined Counties Premier Division South.

That is Step 5 of non-League.
