Fezolinatant selectively blocks one of the switches on the candy neurons, which is called the NK3 receptor.

And Linquette blocks two switches.

OK, so this is one of the differences in how they work.

So it blocks the NK1 and the NK3.

So that's the kind of difference in their mechanism.

And there are some other differences between them as well.

So what did we hear? So it ran over two days.

So today is Friday, the second day, and yesterday we kicked off with a session on one of the newer medications, the NK3R antagonists that are now available to treat hot flushes in Ireland.

So Aoife, can you tell us a little bit about those in case any of our listeners haven't heard of them before?

So the NK3R antagonists are really interesting new drugs, and they're particularly useful for people who don't want to take HRT or estrogen as a form of treatment.

They work really well for hot flushes, and the main one available in Ireland at the moment is Veozah.

There's a new medication called elenzanetant, which will be available hopefully shortly soon, but it's showing promising to help with both hot flushes and with sleep.

The one that came out last year is called L-enxanatant.

The second one that came out is an NK1 antagonist and an NK3 antagonist.

And so the benefit of that is it's affecting both hot flashes and sleep.

And so those two things are very key in menopause, and they seem to improve both.
