I've given more than 500 invited talks, mostly to rural audiences, mostly on the prairies, which I thoroughly enjoy because quite often they don't believe in climate change.

And I gave a talk in Tabor, Alberta.

And afterwards, this manager of an irrigation district came up to me and said, Dave, nice talk, but I'll believe in climate change when we get unexpected weather.

I said, wow, can I quote you?

Maybe you, you more than likely as the listener are better than me as a human being, okay? You offer something to the world, whether it's a skill or a trade or, you know, uh, a much more coherent take on subject matters that we discuss on this show, and that's why I respect you, you know? But I also look down upon you at the same time because, you know, I am, I am clocking, what? I'm giving, getting, like, 6,000 views an episode.

Who's doing that these days? The biggest podcast out of Taber, Alberta.

I demand my respect.
