Zach RugerHOST
Really, really nothing.
Zach RugerHOST
Um, she could fight Alexa Tejera for all I care, or Tabatha Ricci.
Zach RugerHOST

Since debuting back in April of 2021, Lupe Valdez has been one of the most active female fighters on the entire UFC lineup, with her fight at UFC Vegas 22 this upcoming weekend marking her sixth-16th UFC contest.

And over the course of her first 15 UFC fights, she has fought some of the best strawweights on the planet, including Angela Hill, Tabatha Ricci, Virna Jandiroba, Mackenzie Dern, Jessica Andrade, and Tatiana Suarez.

However, we did see something from Lupe in April that we hadn't seen from her before, and that was her being stopped when Tatiana Suarez would submit her via rear naked choke in round two.

So now not only is Lupe Godinez behind the eight ball in the sense of trying to bounce back from a loss, which she has successfully done multiple times so far in her UFC run, now she's trying to get the nasty taste out of her mouth of being forced to tap.
Big EHOST
She lost to Mackenzie Dern, who's the, the current champion, and Virna Jandiroba, who fought for that vacant title as well.
Big EHOST
So, uh, before that, she was on a good win streak, beating people like Cynthia Calvillo, Emily Ducote, Elise Reed, and Tabatha Ricci.
Big EHOST
So, uh, she's got the ability to get the wins, it's just, you know, will she pull it through this time? Will she be able to stop Katlyn Chookagian and her power? Um, 'cause Chookagian definitely has the power, but she's, she's a real tricky fighter.
Big EHOST
Um, she's on a two-fight win streak, though, with a decision win over Bruna Brazil, and her last fight was a TKO over Ar- Ariane Cornelau.
Jeff FoxHOST
Right

... at some of the, the women she does beat and she deals with the grappling of, you know, she's looked great against Tabatha Ricci and, you know, she had her moments and, and even in those losses, she had her moments.
Daniel VreelandHOST
So yeah, I, I think as long as she puts her foot on the gas with the grappling, she should cruise very early in this fight with that and, uh, pick up a pretty easy decision victory.
Jeff FoxHOST
There you go.
Daniel VreelandHOST
Um, which obviously no shame in that.
Daniel VreelandHOST
And then when you look at some of the women, she does be, and she deals with the grappling of, you know, she looked great against Tabitha Ricci and, you know, she had her moment and, and even in those losses, she had her moment.
Daniel VreelandHOST
So yeah, I think as long as she puts her foot on the gas with the grappling, she should cruise very early in this fight with that and, uh, pick up a pretty easy decision victory.
Jeff FoxHOST
There you go.
Cody SafticHOST
Flip side to that, Godinez landed 107 against Jessica Andrade.
Cody SafticHOST
She landed 98 against Tabitha Ricci.
Cody SafticHOST
She landed 132 against Emily Ducote.
Cody SafticHOST
She landed 92 against Angela Hill.
Greg PerssonHOST
I mean, the losses are tough, tough fighters.
Greg PerssonHOST
She's beaten Tabitha Ricci.
Greg PerssonHOST
You got to give this to Lupi.
Greg PerssonHOST
These are different levels, these two.
