David on Yamada was good.

Sweat was good.

Demario Davis looked fantastic in this game, taking on blockers on a dart run and then standing up the puller, making the tackle.

He filled it in on a duo run, made a tackle.

But a ridiculously good spin move there where he added that element to his game where, again, a lot of guys rush upfield and then they chopped outside arm and then spin but will mcdonald added the the element to his game last year where instead of just chopping the outside arm now he started to push their shoulder and kind of use like a quasi long arm and obviously right if you're pushing my outside shoulder and you're pushing with a long arm my hips are naturally going to follow my upper body so it turns you to the outside makes you susceptible to the inside when she hits so tight especially the really good um ice pick that he uses with that inside arm So, awesome job by Will McDonald.

I thought Onyemada looked explosive in this game.

Tavondre Sweat clogged up the middle.

He had that one rush where I think Bailey then got the pressure because of some... just because of some...

That's fucking embarrassing at home.

And you know what? As I'm watching some of this game, right, obviously the offensive line is just – it looked really bad when you had Sweat and Brownlee Jr.

on there, and they're drawing the whole time because they kind of – you know, they won on the defense.

But when you have a first-round tackle in Latham who got worked today again, right, who that's – this is supposed to – we're supposed to watch this offensive line For the next 17 games?

So I'm going to list them one at a time and see whether you have the same view on it.

I think one thing that seemed clear to me was they built this defense with the vision that they are not going to get pushed around in the run game, whether you're talking about the trade for Devondre Sweat Bringing back Demario Davis, even Minka Fitzpatrick, who can help in the run game.

The two edge guys they brought in, Osai and Enigbare, are both guys who are pretty stout edge setters.

So I think that there are lots of different aspects of this, the way they constructed this defense.

That's something that Aaron Glenn and every person on that defense recognizes has to be part of who they are and their DNA in this coming season.

But you're right.

On Yamada and Sweat and Inagbari, These are guys that are here for a reason.

You mentioned to Mario Davis, the leadership, the spirit in which he plays, the physical edge that he brings.

Go.

Cautiously optimistic, but I think to Vondre Sweat, Harrison Phillips, David, like these are really good run stoppers on the Jets interior.

So while I'm cautiously optimistic, I'm not getting ahead of myself because I do realize this is a pretty good run stopping front for the Jets.

At least it looks that way on paper.
