So he gave me all his hip hop records.

I started off on Mantronix, T La Rock, Stetsasonic.

That's what I started off with.

This is before they was playing hip hop on radio.

They was only playing it on WNPR 90.1 from like, I think it was like 4:00 to 7:00 or some shit like that.

And so I would go to school and I would battle rap, but it'd be like a Stetsasonic verse, a T La Rock verse.
