Rowan Hooper's book, Togetherness, Symbiosis, and the Hidden Story of Life's Greatest Collaborations, presents so many amazing stories of two or more organisms living in intimacy and cooperating to survive and flourish.

But Hooper, an evolutionary biologist, takes us to another level in revealing that basically all life on Earth hinges on collaboration.

I expect that the same thing is going to happen with artificial intelligence.

we are beginning to enter into a symbiosis with artificial intelligence.

Symbiosis is where two different species lives in close proximity.

And it can vary all the way from a bird that perches on a cow's back and eats bugs that torment the cow to endosymbiosis, the bacteria in our gut, where now we're completely interpenetrated as life forms.

So there's a big variety of the ways that you can become symbiotic.

It is symbiosis, and that's-- So my, my PhD is in, is in evolution on symbiosis, so it's also goes past just these types of fungi.
