Sylvan Scrying

Formidable Speaker, really powerful card.

Oh, I'm on Magus the Candelabra as another mana creature because I'm on Vibrance and Sylvan Scrying because this is attack with 41 creatures.

I think that you want to be finding Cradle, and I think Magus is just a really, really powerful card.

way to ramp uh in a deck of cradle this is a great way to go from you know you're like five to you know seven mana range to your nine plus mana range where you can you know just win with rocco uh like i was talking about curel attentive first year this is a very rocco specific card this is one boros boros that's hybrid mana for a three three and you can Tap two untapped creatures you control to copy target triggered ability you control.

It costs one more mana to cast than those things do to find the creature you need to find.

I'm just not convinced that it's worth... spending two extra mana to find a specific creature rather than just playing, you know, a bunch of mana sources and interaction and, you know, getting to the point where you have your nine mana and you cast Rock Ironwind.

So playing Infernal Plunge, Metamorphosis, Rite of Flame, Sylvan Scrying, and Jessica's Will, all of those are just to get to the amount of mana you need.

Not playing toolbox cards.

I don't know if you've heard of it.

We also have Sylvan Scrying, which is a two-mana sorcery that searches for any land card, but that puts it into your hand.

Vibrance.

Yes, that searches does the same thing as Sylvan Scrying, but you know that's it's not nearly as powerful, right? We can all we can see that because like you have you can only play one land per turn.

So putting whatever land you want from your deck into your hand and then putting it on the battlefield limits the ceiling.

But this is just like nope.

So you probably wanna over index into disruption on lands, like Otawara, Soaring City or Maze of Ith.

That just means that, like, your Sylvan Scrying can find you your big mana lands, like your Nykthos, but it can also find a Maze of Ith if you're playing against a Voltron deck.

Yep.

And, like, if you have something like an Otawara, you're like, "I'm playing Life from the Loam, so I can use it multiple times." And now I've spent one card on disruption, but I've, I've used it, like, three times in the game.

My second upside for this card and why you should be considering it is

I wrote in my notes, Sylvan Tutor and Sylvan Scrying suck.

So these two cards, one of them allows you to search for a creature, put on top of your library, and the other allows you to search for a land, put in your hand, right?

They have problems.

They have really big downsides to them.

And I'm sorry for those individuals who love those cards.

But for Sylvan Scrying, you are playing a two mana tutor, which is not a great rate.

versus being able to play Traverse Uvenwald, which can get you to the same place at one mana.
