Sydney International Regatta Centre

Um, I also, I've, I've got, I've got a wife and two young kids, and I just struggled getting, getting to a river, to be honest.

So I did my surf two out at, um, out at the Penrith Regatta, Regatta Centre where they had the Olympics and was very lucky enough to meet the Fox sisters out there and um-

Okay

... actually one of the highlights of my training for Coast to Coast has, um...

It's, uh...

You're at, you're maneuvering a boat into position at lane five at the Sydney International Regatta Centre for the New South Wales School Girls Head of the River meet.

Uh-huh.

Now, so you're, you're in there.

[laughs]

"You meant we just sort of had to work together?" Like, that was it.

Um, there is something really special about, and you don't realize it at the time, but there is something really special, nerve-wracking, um, a lot goes on when you, um, are rowing at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.

It's still my, one of my favorite courses, but there's a lot of alone time in your head.

I went to the uh, to the first Defcon.

Like I helped bring that out, yeah, out to Regatta Center.

That I do believe.

Yeah, I've got a trophy and everything.

Is there a perfect venue in Australia that could host the 2032 event?

Currently right now, the best venue we have in the country is the Sydney Regatta Centre.

It's a legacy item from the Sydney Olympic Games, as you know.

Brisbane could have that at Moreton Bay.
