Voldemort only ever heard part of Trelawney's prophecy, second hand I might add, and eventually decided that Harry was the child he needed to target.

And by choosing Harry and attempting to kill him, Voldemort effectively marked Harry as his equal and set the prophecy in motion.

Moving on to divination class, Trelawney is not happy at all.

She's hitting students with the dream oracle.

She slams the desk with one.

And even the slightest inconvenience, you're kind of like, yeah.

And then Trelawney, you know, she's always been, like, she's been, like, a bit annoying, but, like, she's honestly been some of the funniest comedy that I've seen out of, like, both in the movie and the book.

And Harry eventually gets to Dumbledore's office, and Trelawney bursts out of the room [laughs]

"This is why I'm being thrown out." [laughs]

Demanding that someone else be fired because she's offended.

Because Dumbledore says straight up to Harry that Trelawney, "Between ourselves, she has no idea of the danger she would be in outside the castle.

She doesn't know, and I think it would be unwise to enlighten her, that she made the prophecy about you and Voldemort." There's, like, no boundary [laughs] here.

As Harry was helping himself to roast potatoes, the doors of the great hall opened again.

It was Professor Trelawney, gliding towards them as though on wheels.

She had put on a green sequined dress in honor of the occasion, making her look more than ever like a glittering, oversized dragonfly.

"'Sibyl, this is a pleasant surprise,' said Dumbledore, standing up.

"'I have been crystal-gazing headmaster,' said Professor Trelawney in her mistiest, most faraway voice, and to my astonishment I saw myself abandoning my solitary luncheon and coming to join you.' Who am I to refuse the promptings of fate? I at once hastened from my tower, and I do beg you to forgive my lateness.

Certainly, certainly, said Dumbledore, his eyes twinkling.

Let me draw you up a chair.

and he did indeed draw a chair in the mid-air with his wand, which revolved for a few seconds before falling with a thud between Professor Snape and McGonagall.

That's right.

So we get Voldemort's birthday is New Year's Eve, which there is, like, a fun little prediction from Professor Trelawney at one point where she's like, "It is clear to me, young Harry, that you were born in midwinter."

Right.

And with, you know, or whatever.

You can just have random wizard guy in a robe walking around being funny, talking to people would be just fine.

Or Sybil Trelawney sitting with a crystal ball.
