MeganHOST
I've done that before, like, while I've been reading, like, actually
AmyHOST
a book that I just read, Swordheart by T. Kingfisher, which I really liked.
AmyHOST
Oh, cool.
AmyHOST
But I...
Joanna RobinsonHOST
So T. King- Kingfisher is another author who I will always read.
Joanna RobinsonHOST
And, um, Swordheart, Daggerbound is a new one that's out this year, but Swordheart is the one I wanna talk about, which is I, I, I believe I've recommended it on the podcast before.
Joanna RobinsonHOST
Um, and if you're watching, I got this at The Gallery Bookshop in Mendocino.
Joanna RobinsonHOST
Shout out The Gallery Bookshop in Mendocino.
Joanna RobinsonHOST
One of my favor- They have a cat.
Joanna RobinsonHOST
It's one of the best bookshops in the world.
Joanna RobinsonHOST
Um, but Swordheart is about a, a, a, a, a knight who is trapped in a sword.
Joanna RobinsonHOST
He's trapped inside a sword, and this sort of loquacious woman who acquires the sword, and, um, and sort of, like, chaos and romance ensues.
Zinzi BreeHOST
... stylistically than you would find in Sage's recommendations.
Zinzi BreeHOST
So one that I have not read that is sitting on my shelf that supposedly has a soft FMC is Swordheart, but I haven't read it, so that limits how much I can recommend it other than it being a T. Kingfisher, and she's amazing.
Zinzi BreeHOST
All of the other things that I've read by T. Kingfisher have, have been beautifully written, have depth, have a lot of heart, and also fun.
Zinzi BreeHOST
So ones that I have read are the Villains and Virtue series by A.K. Cavaggio.
RosieHOST
So I'm going to keep an eye out for the release date of that.
RosieHOST
And then also next year, I know that she's releasing the – third book in the Swordheart Shadow, Swordheart Daggerbound series, which I've spoken about.
RosieHOST
I've read those two.
RosieHOST
And the third one is called Shieldborn, which is cool, which is about the last warrior who got put into a weapon.
Molly ReamerHOST
And I've brought back what I'm currently reading.
Molly ReamerHOST
To myself, I am reading Swordheart.
Molly ReamerHOST
My beloved T. Kingfisher is coming through for me again with a daring tale of a middle-aged woman and the dashing seasoned warrior who happens to inhabit the blade of a sword.
Molly ReamerHOST
This book is set in the same universe as the Paladin series that I was so enamored with earlier this year and also the Clockwork Boys series.
Molly ReamerHOST
I'm going to probably read the second one, which is called like Stolen Dreams or Dream Thief or something like that.
Molly ReamerHOST
But I'm just really loving T. Kingfisher this year.
Molly ReamerHOST
So anyway, happy to have Swordheart back.
Molly ReamerHOST
To the kids, I am reading The Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking.
