Swiss National Day

The whole real estate bubble went bust.

And then I came back again last year on August 1st, which was Swiss National Day.

I left Switzerland and Europe.

And yes, I'm moving between here and Zurich and London most of the time, but just traveling almost every week.

Today's news from the church, the pilgrimage to Bourguignon under the theme, Francis Repair My Church.

Nearly 400 faithful took part in the annual Swiss National Day pilgrimage from Tréveau toward Notre Dame de Bourguignon on August 1st.

Marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, this year's pilgrimage centered on Christ's command to the saint, Francis, go and rebuild my church.

The theme gave the traditional pilgrimage a particular timely spiritual focus.

And on they drive.

Harat, August 1st, 1939, Swiss National Day, but too hot for a bonfire.

A wind blows off the yellow hills that the Haratis say will last a month.

They shut every window and live only in the evenings.

You may not know, but this week is Swiss National Week.

It is the Swiss Independence Day celebrations are this week.

And I am a dual citizen.

As I've mentioned, I'm kind of one of those dual passport guys.
