Swingin'

Some of the accolades include one Grammy nomination, nine Academy of Country Music Award nominations, plus one win, Eight nominations at the Country Music Association Awards to go along with three wins.

Now, there's some John Anderson songs out there that we all know, you know, that we all might be expecting, like Swingin' or his version of I'm Just an Old Chunk of Coal, which I do like that one.

We're not going to hear those ones.

We're going to hear two, maybe three, depending on how much time we have.

Let's talk about John Anderson.

So John Anderson died this last week, and he had songs like Swingin' and Roll, Roll,

Seminole Wind, which

is great.

I can tell you, if they're like the people that told me, they're liars.

I think with John Anderson too, it's one of those where an artist's one of his biggest songs or one of their biggest songs kind of gives you the wrong idea if that's the only song you know.

Because if you only know John Anderson from the first version of him, which was the 80s, like Swinging was his biggest song.

And it was kind of a funny song.

A country music legend has died.

John Anderson was famous for his distinctive voice and for a long list of country hits throughout the 1980s and 90s like Swingin', Wild Blue, and Seminole Wind.

Anderson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2024.

His family noted on social media Wednesday that Anderson had passed away and called him a gifted country music singer whose voice and songs touched countless lives.
