Another way that I know this is a different season because our bar in Swainsboro, the Stockyard – A noted Alabama fan came in.

In the past, he's always like, you know, well, Georgia, blah, blah, blah, Alabama is this.

He kind of puffs his chest out, and he talks with more authority than he should.

An Alabama fan? I have never heard of such.

He's from Swainsboro, and so...

Now he's talking like a Georgia fan this week.

What? He came in there smiling and talking about, yeah, them dogs is barking, them dogs is playing.

How tough is AA?

Uh, it's really tough.

Stephenson and Griffin, you mentioned that one.

Worth County and Thomasville is big.

You mentioned the Dodge County game, Swainsboro and Pierce.

Bowdon and Heard, under, uh, underappreciated game in the lower classifications.

You grew up in rural Georgia.

You grew up in Swainsboro.

When you think back to when you were a girl, could you have imagined having done all of this?

Oh, goodness, no.

Because I wasn't born in Augusta, Georgia.

I was born in Swainsboro, Georgia.

And I moved to Augusta, Georgia when I was in the fifth grade.

And every time I get this question, I say this.

So it is the greatest piece of property you'll ever walk on in your life if you ever get to go.

I thought you were born in Augusta.

I knew you were from Swainsboro, but I thought it

was you.

[laughs]

What? Dave the gym teacher in Swainsboro, Nevada.

Okay.

But they're another one of those true contenders in our classification that you've got to have a relationship with and work with to be prepared for what comes down.

Because I really believe that region one And that region with Dublin and Dodge and Blackley and Swainsboro and all those guys, both of those regions are really deep.

So you've got to be able to withstand and work along the way to prepare yourself for what you get.

But at the same time, you don't want to get into the fight.

I think it's safe to say that AA is one of the tightest, most competitive classifications when you take a group of, say, the top 20.

For someone who hasn't seen what this new now AA is going to look like, it's you, Fitzgerald, Dublin, Bleckley, Cook, Swainsboro, Rabin, Dodge, Thomasville, Pepperell.

I mean, this is some heavyweights here.

How do you explain AA football to anybody else who hadn't seen it?

North Georgia and Sugar Creek to Tate McCollum.

Cam Boyd, a win at Swainsboro.

Woodstock to Jake Knowles.

Bubba Gorman wins East Alabama, while at Hollis it's Casey Hall.

And is there a different knack to driving Georgia clay than other places? I mean, does it react differently to the tires and those setups that you spoke about?

Oh, yeah, absolutely.

And even the different clay that we have here in Georgia with Sonoma and Swainsboro having the gumbo on it, it absolutely drives different and has different effects on tire wear, tire heat.
