Images, in many cases, and the information derived from those images is going elsewhere.

Back in February, some Swedish newspapers, Svenska Dagbladet and Göteborgs Posten, published a big investigation into meta's use of human annotators in Kenya to look over the images that were coming from people's meta glasses and categorize things.

The point here is to train Meta's AI on the images that are coming through from the things people are wearing so that it knows how to recognize this or recognize that and become, well, more visually aware.

That obviously comes with advantages for the users because it means that the AI is more capable.
