Susan Tully

Played by Sue Tully, who went on to play Michelle Fowler in EastEnders, and then went on the highly successful directing career and stuff.

She now does Line of Duty, things like that.

Yeah, she does.

He was just in the background a lot of the time.

But he was probably about the right age, though, because then he went into EastEnders at the same time as Susan Tully, a.k.a. Susan Ross.

So...

And I think his character was meant to be about a year older than hers.

I think that that makes a lot of sense.

I think the casting people in EastEnders are clearly looking at who's successful, who's working.

As much as we may say Suzanne Ross has kind of run out of her time, that's not Susan Tully's fault.

Susan Tully is always good value, even when she turned up randomly some episodes just to complain about something.
