Susan Tedeschi

Uh, the chairman and I had seats under the pavilion, but Tom and his wife and, uh, Andy did not.

And during Susan Tedeschi's solo on The Sky Is Crying, she conjured not only a rainstorm, but each different peak she took the solo, she conjured more rain.

And Tom, to the point where you said, "Whoa, stop," because the rain, but it, he also said, you turned to, to Andy and said, "Is this really happening?" Absolutely it was.

I, in watching Woodstock again and watching Joe Cocker do his thing on With a Little Help From My Friends, there's no doubt in my mind that that bluesy take that he did on that conjured that big-ass rainstorm on Sunday that stopped everything for like four hours.

So we talked for a bit about doing something, but then Jimmy, uh, was like, uh, he was real busy with Panic, and then it just, you know, he wasn't gonna be able to, you know, commit and on any level other than just every now and again.

We, we did do, me and Steve and Jimmy, we went, we played a gig with, uh, Derek, uh, Trucks and Susan Tedeschi.

Anyhow, Jimmy was, was busy.

That wasn't gonna work.

Tedeschi.

Susan Tedeschi, yeah.

Susan Tedeschi.

Who was also part of it last year.

She was really kinda Norman out, too, and I loved it.

Let's just keep making memories, shall we? [laughs] Hey, all I can say now is hold onto your hat because I've got a treat for you.

Little Mama, Marlon and I consider Susan Tedeschi one of our all-time favorite singers.

Now, 2005 was a, a release of The Best of Susan Tedeschi, Episode One, and, uh, it's a great album of, of all these great tunes, man.

The first song means a lot to us and brings back the feelings of when we started dating 23 years ago.

Here is Susan Tedeschi with I Fell in Love.

Oh, the first time I saw him, I melted on the floor.

Never had I seen a man like this before.

Oh, yes.

Yeah, yeah

... with Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, who I'm sure no one-

[laughs] I love when you call her-

Their full names

Yeah.

Derek Trucks.

And Susan Tedeschi.

Yeah.

Tedeschi Trucks.

Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi are both...

Diehard Jaguar fans.

Yeah, and Florida State.

I believe she's in Oregon and her name is Kelly Wills.

And she's works on like, you know, Susan Tedeschi's tour posters.

And she's like amazing, amazing, amazing artist and got this idea, this concept that I had just fully out pretty much within like the first few drafts.

Because I really wanted...

And for the sake of Derek Trucks.

And Susan Tedeschi.

And Tedeschi, freaking Tedeschi all over the place.

One of the coolest women on the planet.
