So I was like, I wanna be a surf photographer.

There's a place called Koh Kood Resort that I go to in Bang Bao, this really sheltered, idyllic cove.

I remember when I was in high school, I had a subscription to a, a magazine called Surfer Magazine.

Like, which, I mean, if Stab's not basically, you know, really, really, really covering it, you're not going to, who reads Surfer Magazine? Do you?

Yeah.

I mean, I'm sure they have some kind of reach.

And I guess I know Surfer and The Inertia and everybody did something on it.

But I feel that is their reach now.

It gets basically nobody.

Jason Murray has quietly been shaping the way that I've experienced surfing since I discovered it.

He was the photo editor at the Bible of our sports surfer magazine through the peak of its popularity and circulation.

He was the director of photography at Quicksilver during the Dane and Craig Anderson era while Kelly won his ninth, 10th and 11th world titles.

Jason's work was so impactful in the surf world that he was lured away by Nike until just a couple of years ago when Travis Rice wanted to expand his natural selection tour into the surf realm.

the first, first published photo that I had in Surfer was of Mike Riley from the NSSA championships in the summer of 1995.

Mike Riley was a Huntington Beach Loke.

I remember like I got this poster, in m- in my shop now, that has every cover of every Surfing Magazine.

Wow.

Surfing Magazine put it out for 50th year, and we had the very first issue of Surfing in it.

It was called International Surfing back then.

Yeah.
