It's a pilot to convert 20 short-stay rental properties in Lawn into long-term homes.

Um, definitely gonna keep going.

And after doing the trail run on Sunday down at the Surf Coast, um, yeah, I think I'll stick to the roads for a little while longer.

[laughs]

Trials are brutal.

Um, so back a bit in, in mileage.

Um, but still getting two sessions in on a, and, and a Sunday.

But we spri- uh, sprinkled some races in too with obviously the, with Surf Coast Century on the weekend, and then, um, the Burnley XCR race, um, the 15K, which was, which was an experience.

And, um-

Getting a little, uh, couple of hectares of Ceres.

[laughs] Wherever it might be, down on the old Surf Coast next to Ed Curnow.

Surf Coast, right.

But, uh, no sir.

The Dogs have prevailed, and they've got the job.

So welcome to season six, The Woman Next Door.

This season, we're sitting down with local women from Geelong, Bellarine and the Surf Coast who are creating lives, businesses and impact right here in our own backyard.

You know, the women behind the cafe that you love

visiting and the practitioner who supports your family.

Think what your strengths are.

Geelong could have easily been the cellar dwellers and could've been, we're not in Melbourne, we're down the Surf Coast.

It could've been no one ever wants to go there, the weather's crap, it's cold, it's windy.

But they looked at a map effectively and said, "What are our strengths? We've got beaches.

But there's that very kind of distinct savory, um, darker fruited pinot noir, especially through those, through the wines which, um, you know, is very Bellarine and you can kind of see that through, um, majority of the wines on the peninsula.

And then you've got the Surf Coast which, um, is, you know, down towards the Otways.

Um, it's cooler, higher rainfall, the vineyards there are a little bit more elevated.

Um, but that's all about like fruit purity and spiciness and that kind of medium-bodied ethereal edge of especially reds.

Uh, would...

Why would you wanna go to the Surf Coast and beaches-

[laughs]

You don't need to go down to the Surf Coast.

There's a rest- there's one restaurant, a decent restaurant too, the Ducks one, right?
