Surf City

And then we have three events that we do in person.

So I just wrapped up a men's retreat here in Surf City, North Carolina with 13 men.

And then we have a gogi live happening in November.

And that's a communal thing.

Right.

So it's like, why would I not want to do that? So we've kind of just created a buy box of things that are really important to us, but we're very selective because we've gone down the path of we're trying to buy this property out in Surf City, North Carolina before the Stone Tavern Farm Project.

We're not listening to our gut.

We went there and we're like, we just don't feel that energy.

So after he died, that's whenever I really took a deep dive into looking at it.

And, you know, growing up, we had a place there at Surf City and I was always in and out of boats and things like that.

And my cousin had a boat insurance company in Moorhead City.

Me and him been kicking the tires on it, you know, insuring yachts, insuring sport fishers, stuff like that.

I'm going to go off on a little rabbit trail really quickly.

One of the first conversations we had together was actually about a property in Surf City, North Carolina, which I used to pass every single day on the way to work.

I don't remember if I told you this part of the story, but I lived in Sneeds Ferry, which was just off Topsail Island.

And in graduate school, in between graduating and starting my first year teaching, I worked at a coffee shop just to kill time because Caleb was deployed.

I didn't know that.

I went to work every morning.

So when you said that, I was like, are you kidding me? That is such a small world because Surf City is a small community.

Yeah.
