Since then, it's been a real joy to see Kelly be a part of a band that seems to just be taking off or at least getting non-stop cool opportunities.

And when we recorded this back in May, Secret World had just returned from their second US tour, a six-week stint for Drain's album launch alongside No Pressure and Haywire, and they were about to head straight back out on the road here in Australia to support Superheaven and Angel Dust.

Now, while Kelly is a competent bassist, I do think that he probably missed his true calling as a comedian, and I hope you laugh along with us for this rather loose episode.

It says the sounds explored match the feeling of being on an emotional rollercoaster with the band drawing heavily on their love of mid-2000s new metal and post-hardcore while retaining the influence of mid-90s grunge and shoegaze that have been central to the Head Cloud experience.

I went...

Oh, a few months ago, I went to go see Superheaven with a buddy of mine, which is a fantastic band, and, uh, uh, it was, they kinda have, had their own, like, like, their, their shit just got picked up by, like, people posting.

It wasn't even, like, they, I don't think they posted a single thing, but, like, their songs got pick up, picked up, uh, on, like, TikTok and Instagram really hard, and all of a sudden they were, like, fucking, you know, huge after being, like, a band for, like, a decade.

And I remember before the show, like, looking at the crowd and being like, there's definitely a lot of, a lot of, like, younger, a younger crowd here that, like, doesn't go to shows at all.

It was very funny.

It was a lot of, like, guys that either looked like me that were, like, in their twen- in their late 20s and 30s, who had probably been there for a while.

Like, this was their eighth fucking Superheaven show.
