Supergirl

Yeah.

Um, this costume, the white, uh, was, uh, Supergirl 51 from that Peter David run when Linda Danvers gets separated from The Matrix.

But it first showed up, um, a couple years before that in the Ani- uh, Superman Adventures Animated series, was where that white T-shirt, um, costume first showed up for, uh, for Supergirl.

And Black Flame was who you were trying to think of-

So Kara, like, Kara Zor-El was, like, wiped from existence and, like, wasn't a thing, and so for, like, 10 years or something Supergirl was, like, Matrix.

Cool.

Um, but then eventually in, like, the '90s they introduced this character called, like, Linda Danvers.

Linda and Matrix, like, fuse together and then form, like, a new Supergirl, and that becomes Kara Danvers.

Yeah, oh, no, sorry.

I think they, it's Linda Danvers but then they made it so that, like, when Kara came back, like, as, like, a nod to that version of the character-

... her Earth name became, like, Kara Danvers.

I'm gonna get it, finally gonna read it.

But Peter Da- a lot of Peter David's books were always on the bubble of getting canceled, and Supergirl went a long time, but it was on that bubble, and they finally canceled it.

Peter David had plans for what he was gonna do with Linda Danvers, and this was not, this was not the Supergirl, you know, Kara Zor-El.

Um, this was Linda Danvers, where I think we've talked about when we talked about Death of Superman, the Matrix Supergirl.

This was a mix of her and, um, an angel spirit that had merged with the Matrix and become this other character.

Well, Peter David was gonna [clears throat] had plans [clears throat] to take it a little darker, and DC ended up canceling the book.

I thought that that was a really cool page.

Yeah, it looks like kind of maybe Silver Age Supergirl.

Then there's like a Linda Danvers version of her.

Some of them are hard to kind of see based on the transparency of the sort of the ghostly past figures or the multiverse figures, if you would.

But yeah, so it's kind of interesting to see their various...
