Like, that's the problem, is that they're not good enough at left guard, and now we're left to talk about remaining options who aren't the best options, but are they better remaining options than what the Niners currently have? And, like, I'm a big Kyle Shanahan guy, but I think, like, one of the differences between him and Sean McVay, if Sean McVay was coaching this Niners team in Super Bowl LVIII, and he saw Spencer Burford miss the assignment and let Chris Jones go unblocked to pressure Brock Purdy, forcing that errant throw to Jauan Jennings when Brandon Aiyuk was wide open in the end zone, which could have given the Niners a Super Bowl, I feel like Sean McVay would've been so scarred by that, and he would say to himself, "I'm never gonna let that happen again." Whereas Kyle Shanahan is more stubborn and he's like, "We can get by with average offensive linemen because I can scheme and play call around him." I'm so tired of the Niners having that thought process along the offensive line.
