Sun Drop

This is the fun part of the show.

We don't need anybody getting jacked up on Sun Drop.

[laughs] Chase Elliott claims that when he goes home, he's in never never land.

He had no idea until Friday when he got to the racetrack.

Now, it can get more complicated.

We've done an old Sun Drop bottling facility in Gastonia, North Carolina, that was a, a collection of old buildings that had buil- been built up over almost 100 years.

You know, the oldest building's 100 years.

The youngest building was probably 40 years.

I know your father-in-law, he used to drink, uh, what was that?

Uh, Sun Drop.

Sun Drop.

Sun Drop and, uh, um ...

It's gotta-

Burton

Yeah.

Is a sun drop.

Is that a, an orange? Is it a citrus? Do you have

rock?

No, I think that's an East coast thing.

That's awesome.

We've seen it with Dale Jr. recently, not in the NASCAR level, but with the late model with Budweiser coming back and even Sundrop, which was a partner of his father's back in the day.

To see all of that, some of the old school nostalgic stuff uh, great.

And, and obviously a great tribute to Kyle here this weekend at one of his best tracks.

It was summertime.

And I'd rededicated my life to Christ, and I was drinking a Sun Drop.

Do you know what a Sun Drop is? No.

It's a soft drink.

They really was big in Tennessee back in the day.

So I was sitting there kind of propped up on that Cadillac taking a break, and I was drinking that Sun Drop.

It was hot.

And this guy got out of his car that I knew.
