Summer Sonic Festival

Massive Attack and Tool and, like...

I went to s- one of the Summer Sonic festivals, and it was just crazy.

Which is the...

I'm not, I'm not familiar with that one, but-

Oh, Summer Sonic is basically, uh, the biggest rock festival in Japan.

Oh, okay.

So it's two days-

We had Alex Warren come on one of our videos.

I think Zach actually met Alex in Summer Sonic.

Yeah, I had bumped into him there at a snack bar, and we had a little conversation, and then, yeah, he wound up checking out our video because we did a cover of Fever Dream.

Cool dude.

It was incredible.

And then we just played Summer Sonic in Japan as well.

Holy crap.

Okay, you've been busy.

うん。

でもサマソニの現場とかもあったんで、するかもなと思ってドキドキワクワクは。

ああ、やっぱこのバイトするの一番の理由ってそれやもんね。

そうですね。

Wow, so cool.

So the recent performance, Summer Sonic, we were just talking about it.

In Osaka, you did a full band format where you played guitar.

How was that? Was that the first time you played on like a huge stage with a guitar?

Other artists being tagged in the post by Live Nation include Down, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, I Hate God, Power Trip, Pig Destroyer, and more.

During a mid-set break of this year's Summer Sonic Festival in Japan, a teaser highlighting old Radiohead footage with the words Tokyo 2027 appeared on the screen.

A week later, multiple billboards with slightly different phrasing said Radiohead 2027 popped up around Tokyo.

Now, Radiohead have announced they're doing residencies for 2027.

Now we're getting an offer to go to Japan.

Now we're getting an offer to do Summer Sonic in Japan, which is their biggest summer festival.

We're getting an offer to go to Malaysia, Singapore.

So we started doing all these crazy things that we still do to this day.

Definitely.

They teased it at Summer Sonic, which adds to the anticipation.

But will they deliver?

That's the million-dollar question.
