Sullivan County

That's over northeastern Pennsylvania.

So get ready in places like Sullivan County near Liberty for a shower coming up.

And those other showers are getting into parts of Warren County right now.

There's the future cast.

Same thing over the Hudson Valley.

71 in Monticello.

We've seen some showers approach Sullivan County.

Showers will be scattered tonight.

But I, we, I can't go, uh, you know, I was gonna ask some of the, the biggest, you know, surprises, uh, that, that got in, and I think one jumps out, uh, right away for me personally, um, because when you reached out.

So dis- disclosure, full disclosure, [laughs] uh, I, we are not doing this podcast because Sullivan County Golf Club is in the book.

Um, we're doing this podcast 'cause it's a, a wonderful book by George Peper.

Um, anything George Peper does, we love.

Um, but of the n- of the hundred courses that do make it into the book, um, we were pretty blown away to find that our little nine-holer in the Catskills, that our logo at Sullivan County Golf Club did make it in, uh, to the story.

Um-

Well, it deserved to.

He did make it to Denmark.

Right now, our temperatures are in the upper 60s, low 70s as the cloud cover increases.

Sullivan County might see a couple light raindrops right now, but the bulk of the moisture is still over central PA.

That makes its way to us through the overnight hours, and those downpours will arrive from west to east after about 2, 3 a.m.

This latest refresh of this particular forecast model actually slowing down the onset of the rain.

We saw this slide in earlier this evening.

I'm watching the radar.

I think most of that in Sullivan County probably evaporating before reaching the ground.

The air at the surface is still pretty dry.

They, um, they have a series called the challenger series that they do every year and they feature say five people who are doing things, unusual things in golf or challenging the sort of status quo in golf.

And, uh, And they heard about what we were doing at Sullivan County Golf Club, which I'm sure we'll talk about today.

Oh, yeah.

They were kind enough to do a commercial about the adventure there.

So there's, you know, the 32nd spot has been running forever.

on um you know during tour events and stuff which is incredibly cool and it's been really good for the club and then if you go to their website schwab.com you get um there's a sort of a five minute short film about uh everything we're doing in sullivan county so it was a lot of fun they it was very very uh kind of them to give us some publicity

Well, the first time I saw it, I don't remember what tournament I was watching sometime this year.

And I went, Hey, I know that guy.

So, on July 29th, we're talking about the DEP, Department of Environmental Protection, and the DEC police.

And Sullivan County responded to an antique store in the town of Mamakading.

Uh, David Lewis's dog loves to go out and play with his playing partner and his owner at Sullivan County.

That is Tommy Coyne's golf course up there in the state of New York in the Catskills.

Well, I just got back from a four-day swing in upstate New York, Binghamton, Sullivan County, uh, Rochester, Buffalo, and all points in between.

And I gotta tell you, Scott, the energy level of my campaign and our supporters is off the charts.

Three of the county chairmen that I saw up there just this past couple of days told me they've never seen anything like it.

they have, like, rotating contemporary art exhibitions.

And that was a really great experience, 'cause I hadn't been to Livingston Manor in a very long time up in Sullivan County, and it's a cute little downtown.

This art, Catskill Art Space is, like, right in the center.

And when we got there, we met with Lizzy Wright, who's an artist from New York that both you and I have known, and she works there now, and she showed us around a little bit and took us upstairs to the James Turrell room that they have, which is a total trip, because it's a pitch black room.
