Sue Finkam

Each episode highlights the impact of our alumni and friends who have helped shape and expand the table for women across Indiana.

I'm Anne Hathaway, Executive Director of the Lugar Series, and today I'm honored to be joined by Sue Finkam.

Since 2024, Sue has served as Mayor of Carmel, one of Indiana's largest cities.

Before being elected Mayor, Sue spent 12 years on the Carmel City Council, where she built relationships and held a variety of leadership roles.

I'm Nate Spangle, founder of Get Indiana, and I will be your host for today's conversation.

My guest today is Sue Finkam, and she has served as the mayor of Carmel for the last three years after decades of leadership in healthcare, management consulting, and launching her own full-service marketing agency.

And before being elected mayor, she served 12 years on the Carmel City Council in various leadership roles.

As mayor, she's focused on keeping Carmel one of America's best places to live with a commitment to public safety, fiscal responsibility, innovation, and transparency.
