Such Brave Girls

you know, we're watching it now, probably doing okay for yourself.

Because I was listening to the radio the other day and I heard a BBC series called Such Brave Girls, which is, you know, Real Critical Darling, a kind of precarious girl comedy, as scholar Rebecca Wanzo would put it, set in Britain.

Anyway, it's just one of these, it's not necessarily a household name, but it's been quite successful on the BBC.

Anyway, and the creator was saying, you know, she's won all these awards and is very acclaimed left, right and centre, but she still lives in, you know, a shared flat.

What's your real recommendation? [laughs]

[laughs] Well, my real recommendation is kind of like Derry Girls that I talked about last week, but this is called Such Brave Girls And it's like Derry Girls, but much more not PC.

Like, it's so [laughs]...

It's described as a dysfunctional family sitcom that follows sisters Josie and Billy and their single mom, Deb, as they navigate life armed only with poor judgment and self-esteem exclusively tied to people who couldn't care less about them.

It is actor Freddie Meredith.

You may know Freddie from Such Brave Girls and Big Boys.

I don't, but doesn't mean he's not good.

He also just did the Edinburgh Fringe.
