And we worked on that for maybe 18 months, 24 months, before recognizing we can't finish this alone.

And so I had to reach across the pond and ask for Stuart Townend to help us get it across the finish line with just a few, a few things it was lacking.

I can only think of one, perhaps two songs that are sung in the church today where the word wrath appears.

It's Stuart Townend's In Christ Alone, if you might remember it.

But in so many churches, they're removing the line that says the wrath of God was satisfied because somehow that's not befitting of God or their idea of God.

And so they say the love of God was magnified, but you take the wrath of God out, the cross makes no sense.

And I've seen some really interesting statements.

One was by Stuart Townend.

I think it's probably a couple of things I think probably my own story my wider family there's been a lot of relational fallout a lot of relational difficulty that I've had to navigate over the last couple of decades or maybe even longer to be honest with you and then I think being involved in pastoral ministry of some sort or the other for the last 30 years so much of the problems one way or another have a relational element to it and I think I just began to sort well obviously there's the pain that comes with broken relationships because we're relationship reaches.

Uh, but in 2013, so the song In Christ Alone was written by, uh, Keith, uh, Getty, I think.

Yeah, and Stuart Townend.

Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

And we had a situation with a conference a number of years ago and I picked this song from an album and thought, this is singable, the lyric's great, I quite like the vibe and it was kind of a country thing.

It was a Stuart Townend song that I'd never heard anybody do.

And we worked on it, and we worked on it, and we worked on it, and it just wouldn't settle down and stop.

It was like music.
