I mean, they've come up, and there was a lot of messing went on there in the summer, as we know.

They got promoted, and then made a very strange decision to sack the guy, Stuart Maynard, who'd got them up.

Brought in Scott Lindsey, and to his credit, they've made a really good start.

So in the summer, they were quite aggressive.

It is eye-opening stuff.

It is stuff that should never have been allowed to happen.

But in a country where Jimmy Savile did what he did for so long, and he was much more in the public eye than, than this guy, I mean, it's not a huge surprise.

Not just to say it's limited to that country.

And I guess one person that's been just pivotal, really, in the latter stages anyway of keeping that momentum going is the manager, Martin Paterson.

He went to... forest green rovers um so he so i mean we made money on him as a manager then you bring in there's an unknown you then bring in luke williams who was like raved about by a few people but no one knew who he was make profit on him we then go stuart maynard again like he got us into the playoff semi-final um but it wasn't working with him and everything seemed to be like we have a plan for when the next manager goes like with like two steps ahead maynard goes off night he wasn't poached from us he didn't quit like we were getting rid of him so the fans were like well we've got a plan here because we have parted company with a manager which our owners don't do a month goes by and we don't have a manager and it's like right we're getting nervous now and there's names thrown around like ridiculous names like uh i don't know dave challoner like could we be going for dave challoner people like that like no we're not and then it's like a friday night and someone online puts martin patterson managed half the season at burton albany is going to be manager and like social media erupts within half an hour he's announced um And I think it's pretty clear it wasn't first choice or even second or third.

We've waited a month for a manager and we get this guy that kept Burton up but technically didn't because on the last day they lost 3-0 at Fleetwood and were saved by Cheltenham losing, I think.

I know it was a controversial one, and you've spoken about what it's like when you change managers.

But obviously, Scott Lindsay coming in, Stuart Maynard leaving after getting them into the EFL, the boos that were being directed towards Lindsay after the first game.

Yeah.

You know, he's managed to turn things around.

But he needed this positive start as well, didn't he?

He did, yeah.

Because Stuart Maynard did such a fantastic job.

I think it was a surprise for a lot of people to see him leave.

So they've got to find the right manager if they are going to make the call.

Who is available and will he be attracted by the Hartlepool? Lee Clark says there's no money left in the budget.

So why would anyone be attracted to it? But I'm sure if you get a new manager and you find a little bit of money somewhere as well.
