Structural change

What is the advice that you would give to areas which are going through these very significant structural changes at the moment and trying to manage them alongside service delivery at the same time?

A very topical question.

All right.

So I want to get into some of the big bullet points and then where you see things going.

And I guess we can lead off with some of the structural changes because I just spoke to a group by this last month.

And so I want to talk about exports.

Before I do that, I want to remind you that if you are a listener and a fan of the business of agriculture, I want you to think for a second about my sponsors that make all this possible.

It's always worked this way.

Make a bunch of stuff and put it on a boat.

And there are some structural changes that are, uh, not going to be that way.

So I would read the ecosystem right now as being a struggle between, on some levels, ages that people my age, I'm 70, and people my age, I think, are much more about nibbling at the edges.

And I think younger generations right now want much deeper structural change, especially in things like income inequality issues.

equity for all people, affordability of things like college.

So that is not something dictated from above, but it's movements.
