DanHOST
And I actually was just thinking about that earlier this week.
DanHOST
I did an episode with a band from Washington, D.C. that I really love named Striking Distance.
DanHOST
And as I was like putting the episode together, you know, and seeing the tracks that I was putting in, it's like, I love this song.
DanHOST
I've been listening to it for over 20 years.
DanHOST
And I got to do it quick because I believe the band is about to be done.
DanHOST
At least that's what seems to have been announced regarding their upcoming show this November with Striking Distance.
DanHOST
And we'll get into all that.
DanHOST
But I needed to include Corvo on this episode because they were introduced to me by this episode's guest, Dave Byrd, of the aforementioned Striking Distance.
DanHOST
A man who is always happy to champion his own DC hardcore scene.
DanHOST
And Corvo, if you haven't heard them yet, have an excellent discography.
DanHOST
But maybe I'm wrong about all that.
DanHOST
That's for someone else to figure out.
Tad PeytonGUEST
The last big show that...
Tad PeytonGUEST
Uh, well, I mean, the, like, the actual last Striking Distance show happened there.
Ace StallingsHOST
Oh, okay.
Ace StallingsHOST
Got it.
45 MINS LATER
Tad PeytonGUEST
I'm fucking with AA.
Tad PeytonGUEST
I'm dipping my toe into therapy, and I'm all of a sudden hanging out with this group of people that, like, aren't just burning it down fucking constantly, right? And, you know, that era was like...
Tad PeytonGUEST
You know, there was, there was, there was a lot of good community in BC and, um, 'cause, you know, you had, like, the Striking Distance thing going on at the time.
Tad PeytonGUEST
And, uh, you know, like, No Justice and Desperate Measures.
