Street Hawk

You know, I grew up in the early 80s and, you know, we had like three or four channels to watch.

And every day after school, I couldn't wait for the A-Team, Chips, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Air Wolf.

I mean, if you think about it, that time in our lives, we had some amazing television programs.

You know, when the stunts were real and the vehicles were real and the drifts and the destruction were, you know, those were some brave stuntmen back then.

Uh, several film and television licensed games came out from the Commodore 64.

The popularity of this, uh, you saw the releases of Street Hawk, Knight Rider, Highlander, There Can Be Only One, and Miami Vice.

It was just, just the best licensed games you can think of.

Where's, where's the Baywatch game? Throw that in the mix.

But with Viper, do you find it's more like you've got this idea, yeah, that'll work, and it's more...

Yeah, when you're re-watching the older episodes of Street Hawk, they have ridiculous premises.

I could make an entire issue just taking that little segment of that storyline and run it through the creative filter of yourself.

It becomes something self-contained and on its own.

Yeah, you're way too young for that, ain't you, Dean? [laughs] Air Hawk, come on now.

Oh, no, that's Street Hawk, isn't it? [laughs] That's Airwolf.

Feels like a dream.

I'm getting mixed up.

And Rex continues to enjoy performing on Off Broadway and on Broadway with his Broadway debut, once upon a time, in the musical Grease, and in The Pirates of Penzance, and in the film.

It's kind of amazing to think about it, that Rex is also starred in his own TV series, Street Hawk.

And today he has a powerful one-man show.

I have seen it.
