NickHOST
33:59
But they integrated the...
NickHOST
34:01
The fact that it goes back into the history of Street Fighter, back to Street Fighter 4, which, again, I wither up and die in a corner because the characters are like, oh, I grew up in elementary school playing Street Fighter 4 with my friends.
NickHOST
34:13
I'm like, oh.
MikeHOST
34:16
Yeah.
DylanHOST
70:20
with uh skull knight mon and deadly axe mon okay you know what i like that this changes up the armor so you've got like a horned helmet going on it looks like a skull which makes sense given that this has skull knight mon in it uh who let me show this guy because this guy rules uh this is skull knight mon he's a funny little guy and i love him Then here's Deadly Axemon as well.
DylanHOST
70:51
I don't know why these guys have like the Street Fighter 4 super move filter going on with the black ink on them, but it's cool.
DylanHOST
71:01
It's what it reminds me of whenever I see that is like Street Fighter 4.
DylanHOST
71:03
Sure.
DylanHOST
71:05
um anyway so yeah like basically the head though you've got like a horned helmet uh with like you know little like a hole for the eyes it can be seen there uh for the chest it is a big skull face looks a lot more menacing than it does on the original uh uh skull nightmon you've got like big red eyes inside the pectorals where the you know where the eyes are you've got like The muscles contorting into a fucked up face, kind of.
iDomHOST
61:20
Mm-hmm.
Brian FHOST
61:20
I mean, even at CEO, like, there's a Street Fighter IV Revival Group.
Brian FHOST
61:23
I was talking to Bob Custom Gamer.
Brian FHOST
61:25
I hadn't seen him for a while.
Bronson FioreHOST
71:10
Third Strike, same thing.
Bronson FioreHOST
71:12
Street Fighter 4, there's a big Street Fighter 4 scene.
Bronson FioreHOST
71:14
Maybe we still play Street Fighter 4 matches.
Bronson FioreHOST
71:17
So, I don't, like, yes, if you're talking about the, oh, but I want the hype of new characters, oh, but, well, I'm like, yeah, that's fine, dude, I guess, but I still play Dragon Ball FighterZ.
Bronson FioreHOST
71:27
Like, that game, like, doesn't get real support anymore.
Scott TailfordHOST
17:42
And I remember playing as Birdie on the PS1.
Scott TailfordHOST
17:44
And then, yeah, Street Fighter 4, I thought it was awesome, but I didn't love it as much as, like, the average person.
Scott TailfordHOST
17:48
Like, a lot of people, SF4 was, like, a huge deal.
Scott TailfordHOST
17:50
5 was the one that released in a threadbare state.
Mike MinottiHOST
24:22
Yeah, I mean, the concern, I guess, is in general, RTS, real-time strategy, at a bit of a weird place, especially that kind of Blizzard style, right? Yeah, so it has not had a renaissance.
Mike MinottiHOST
24:33
Hey, there was a time we thought that about fighting games, and then Street Fighter IV happened, right? Exactly.
Mike MinottiHOST
24:37
So, you know.
Mike MinottiHOST
24:38
It
iDomHOST
31:10
I keep saying this.
iDomHOST
31:14
If Mena challenged Daigo in Street Fighter IV, then I think it would have been cool.
iDomHOST
31:18
I went back to challenge Justin in an old game.
iDomHOST
31:21
That's like me calling Justin out in Marvel Tokon or something.

14 MINS LATER

Brian FHOST
45:33
CN might have been at Southeast Asia Majors, but...
Brian FHOST
45:36
Either way, the big thing about that set is the nightclub energy and we had Z on the mic.
Brian FHOST
45:43
And Z was a notoriously unhinged commentator for late-game Street Fighter IV and occasionally early-game Street Fighter V, but things got a little eSports a little too quick for Z.
Brian FHOST
45:57
Z was a great commentator, incredibly intelligent, very witty, but he was the least politically correct person you could possibly put on the mic every time.
GarrettHOST
12:13
BlazBlue is 12... [laughs] Persona is 12 years old.
AustinHOST
12:16
Yeah, that's, that's kind of insane thing about, um- However, yeah, I- this has been dawning on me too about, like, we've really gone th- l- you've been playing games since Street Fighter IV was around.
AustinHOST
12:28
Like, like, didn't, didn't fucking Persona come out at the end of Street Fighter IV, or like Street Fighter IV came out with a new edition right when Persona-
GarrettHOST
12:35
New edition
AustinHOST
12:36
... dropped? Yeah.
DanHOST
24:37
So anything kind of with a gun or a guitar or an arcade stick or anything like that.
DanHOST
24:45
yeah and you just get sometimes like they're just really cool packs I mean you talked about the Street Fighter ones like I got the Street Fighter 4 special edition which had the diorama of Crimson Viper and Ryu fighting on like the Chinese street yeah there you go so they're little figures they're on the diorama and the box had the disc with the movie on as well um movie wasn't great to be fair but you know it's all just great stuff that you just you just get and of course you mentioned consoles as well and yeah yeah obviously i think you've got you've got some delicious special editions mate i've only got one and that's that's probably the the visa and there and it's only a special edition because of that that Virtua Fighter Remix 1 millionth console sold campaign.
DanHOST
25:37
And yeah, thanks for helping me out with finding that one because this is one I really wanted.
DanHOST
25:44
Well, actually, I'll tell a lie.

26 MINS LATER

DanHOST
51:36
It's very much like an arcade aesthetic.
DanHOST
51:39
I'm kind of a punch, kick and guard.
DanHOST
51:40
Because I've got, and I know you've got it as well, the Fight Stick TE, the Street Fighter 4 one.
DanHOST
51:47
I use that for playing Virtua Fighter 5 Revo on the PC.
Sean VelascoGUEST
4:47
I mean, I think we were all lapsed fighting game players, right? People of a certain age, because the 90s was huge for fighting games, and then they all kind of died out.
Sean VelascoGUEST
4:58
And then there was a resurgence, I guess, with Street Fighter 4, right? The first 3D Street Fighter, and that was a big...
Sean VelascoGUEST
5:06
I mean, not the first 3D Street Fighter, but the first named... 3d street fighter and that was like such a huge uh that was such a huge game and then like mortal combat came back and then like just now guilty gear has gotten bigger and right it's just become like a it's like a snowball effect and like tekken came back there they announced a new virtual fighter now it's like hey let's go well on top of that they're also like hey let's do
Steven LakeHOST
5:30
a let's have a redo on the movies as well and see if we can make like really good i guess it's the street yeah good how many how many how many
