The world of Strawberry Shortcake from 1980 was the first TV special to feature the popular greeting card character, Strawberry Shortcake.

And what's crazy is the budget for this 23-minute cartoon was $400,000.

Really? Yeah.

Doesn't that make no sense, considering that we've watched it and it doesn't look like that amazing?

Doesn't scream $400,000, that's for sure.

I guess the main ingredient in Strawberry Shortcake is cocaine and money laundering.

With one out, Eckersley allowed singles to Dykstra and Backman before Magadin, hitting out of Keith's spot in the three-hole, smashed an RBI single to right, scoring Dykstra.

Then Darryl Strawberry hit an RBI single driving in Backman, and the Mets had an early 2-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fifth, Dykstra doubled, advanced a third on the sack bunt, and once again scored via an RBI single by Dave Magadin.

How

many R's in Strawberry? How many N's in Nuke? That's a good question.

We should

ask a very powerful model of this.

He ended up setting, obviously, the overall rookie home run record.

But they did make a big deal, I recall, about him setting the Mets rookie home run record, which was Darryl Strawberry, with like 27.

I don't think Strawberry ever hit 40 home runs for them.
