Stratton

Yeah, and I, I got, I got some ski-

Jill, uh, we're headed to Vermont for the weekend, uh, for the holiday weekend, and, uh, big fan of Honey Pie in Stratton, Vermont.

Amazing burgers.

If you've been there, you know.

I'm still on the road quite a bit, but...

But I used to live and train in Stratton, Vermont because roller skiing in Boston was actually just terrifying and maybe too much of a safety risk for me or my husband to accept.

And so now that I'm actually home and living in the same house, that has been so cool and such a wild shift of like...

I get to come home to the same bed every day and we get to have a random Tuesday night date night.

That was something we never had in the 10 years prior in our relationship.

We had to wait until the weekends when he would drive up to Stratton or I would drive down to Boston.

Or he would come to Minnesota with me for a sponsor event.

And now we just have so many more normal days together.

... man, it's long.

I mean, we're at mountains from, you know, Stratton, Vermont, which is low altitude, but it's gonna be wet and cold in October, which is our last event of the season, but we're in Sun Valley, we're in Whistler.

You know, we did Aspen last year.

I mean, we're on-

Her sister, Teenie Hamilton, runs a bakery at the Jamaica house called The Skinny Goose.

The sisters grew up at Stratton, where their parents, Imo and Anne Henrich, ran an inn and restaurant.

They were beloved in the Stratton community and beyond.

Imo was the first director of Stratton Mountain Ski School, who nurtured generations of young ski instructors.

Imo and Anne also ran the Birkenhaus, an Austrian-style inn at the base of Stratton Mountain.

Imo died in 2009, and Anne passed away in 2023.

And now pieces of that life, old photographs, artwork, and furniture fill the Jamaica house.

She ran four different companies in four different countries before computers existed, knew all four different languages, just super smart, incredibly just a smart lady right to the end, sharp as a tack, and
