Stratton Mountain School

just made things happen.

Benzie and her sister Teenie grew up at the Birkenhouse and attended Stratton Mountain School.

Benzie went to UVM, and Teenie attended Johnson State and later lived abroad.

Teenie has been living in Jamaica for decades, and Benzie's been back for a handful of years.

You know, Jared Slater and then obviously Matt and Danny Cass and that whole crew, Karpinski, like, you know, all the kind of Jersey-New England guys that wound up going up to Vermont.

A lot of those guys that went to like Stratton Mountain School.

I tried to get a job as a coach at Stratton Mountain School after a while, didn't get it, but went up for the interview at one time.

And, you know, because you just want to be in that world.

And the thing was, like, Kurt Morgan and I used to compete against each other because Kurt was on, you know, Lib at that time back in the East Coast as a rider, too.
