Strange Adventures

yeah

post world war three things are changing stuff's going on fallout stuff's going on etc and also i mean we should say that the showcase presents the great disaster featuring the atomic knights collects the whole of hercules unbound as well as the day after doomsday short stories that max and rich quite often talk about on the weird warriors podcast from weird war tales And it also collects the whole entirety of the Atomic Knights saga from Strange Adventures.

And it also has issue 295 of Superman, which Peter and I covered on the show previously.

And interestingly as well, they have the first issue special that features Atlas as part of it.

This one is called Deadman.

How many times can a guy die? And it's got a whole slew of different folks that wrote these issues that first started appearing in issues of Strange Adventures, starting in issue 205.

But the one connective tissue among all these writers, such as Arnold Drake and Carmen Infantino and Jack Miller... is all the art for at least the issues that i read was all done by the late great neil adams and my goodness despite some of the stories being a little bit hokey because to be honest the whole idea of dead man was he was like a trapeze artist stunt guy in the circus that was then shot by some mystery dude and he dies but he's not allowed to pass over to the afterlife till he finds his killer so every issue is just like well who killed me it's this guy right nope it's not that guy it's this guy right nope it's not that and it's so it's like the fugitive he's looking for the one-armed man and he just ends up going to this one place and he has the ability to take over other bodies or whatever but all of that aside the art by neil adams in these issues My God, it's some of the best Neil Adams artwork I've ever seen.

Really, it is.
