have failed you but overall you enjoyed the game um does it feel like one of the things i only ever really played the first rune factory and i didn't play it a ton but one of the things i liked about it was it was more i always liked harvest moon i liked the farming sim um but it was like that but with the dungeons and the monster catching and stuff like or you could have bring monsters into the dungeons with you and stuff or i guess animals that you would raise um um this still has that and like it feels even more in depth and better than it did in older games or

honestly i only brought monsters with me to level them up to give me better materials

And I would go so far as to say, I was talking about this on stream.

you're directly competing with story of seasons.

This isn't like a secret.

You need to make your game cheaper.

You need to make it a more affordable option than the story of seasons games, because then you have a little bit more, people are a little more lenient on you.

Like if your game is 39 99 compared to the next story of seasons, which is going to be 60 or 70 or whatever they do,

it kind of looks a little better.

Hey guys, it's been a while but since it's been a while I can't remember the stuff that I've gotten so I've just grabbed what I'm assuming would be the latest stuff so um in theme with our episodes for today the farming episode I finally got like the the Harvest Moon Game Boy Advance Friends of the Mineral Town and It's the version wherein you're controlling the male protagonist and you can marry the bachelorettes.

Because there's another version wherein you control the female protagonist and marry the male bachelorettes.

So it's kind of hard.

And I'm like, oh, I don't know if I should be happy or I should cry because, yes, I got the game, but cry also because I'm going to fork out some cash.

Well, think of it this way, Ms. Hino.

You might be forking out some cash, but compared to the amount of enjoyment that you're going to get per hour off of a Harvest Moon game, so much more.

Of course you'd say that.

Well, I mean, like, how would you compare this to, like, Grand Bazaar? I feel like comparing it to Story of Seasons.

I think Story of Seasons just puts a lot more heart and effort and listens to, from what I've seen, listens to feedback and is trying to improve more and more each time.

And, like, they're... making the art style more appealing.

And I don't see that happening.

Because it just feels more immersive.

It feels more... like they care they care more i do think the animals are very very cute in the game i like how my character looks once i like got the retro outfit that came with the moo berry cow and i love having a strawberry cow and that's something story of seasons they stopped putting the different colored cows in there they're losing her they're losing her so yeah they need to do that um but it yeah there's like pros and cons i think to both and i think my big thing is like i've always felt really icky about harvest moon and marvelous and sort of season splitting and not to be continuing to use the name and use the nostalgia But I think at this point, it's like these teams are so probably different at this point.

So it was a GTA 6 type situation where it is suddenly, it was every other game in that particular window was just, thrown to the side and hell is us barely stood a chance so it is on ps plus extra if you already have that uh subscription and uh and for 10 pounds if you don't i think it's an awesome uh get but yeah check out some footage and see what you think and maybe watch the opening cut scene because you can watch me play it if you want the video of me playing it is on the youtube channel because it was one of the first grab bag let's play type things that i initially put together uh last year when it first dropped so if you want to check the game out i would recommend especially the intro because i'm super cool thing And the next section is the Overlooked Games of the Week 2 from DMBlan, who says, two games, but also not.

Harvest Moon, Friends of Mineral Town, and its post-Natsume remake, Story of Seasons, Friends of Mineral Town.

Been playing the remake that has a ton of quality of life updates to the game, as it's actually a mix of the PlayStation 1 Harvest Moon, Back to Nature, Harvest Moon, Friends of Mineral Town, itself a port of Back to Nature, and Harvest Moon, More Friends of Mineral Town, where you play as a female on a farm and romance the bachelors.

Ha ha ha! But even the original Game Boy Advance Harvest Moon, Friends of Mineral Town still holds up really well.

On Harvest Moon, Back to Nature on the PlayStation 1.

I know you're mentioning Friends of Mineral Town, which I've not actually played.

And Story of Seasons, I think, has gotten good again.

But Story of Seasons, there was like a split on the dev side or the publisher side where Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons fractured.

Like, I guess the 3D models and stuff were already there because of the original, but even the hardcore Phoenix Wright crowd are like...

Really? This one? And the last one of note is Story of Seasons Your Wonderful Life, which takes the Japanese life simulator and turns it into a kind of tabletop experience.

Anyway, all these games are coming out sometime in 2027 for both Quest 3 and those new glasses.

Not Steam Frame, though.
