Stormbringer

Um, November 8th, 74, that's when we get Queen's Sheer Heart Attack.

But the very same day, we get Deep Purple Stormbringer, a Cat Stevens album, a Frupp album, Styx, Man of Miracles.

So there's another progressive metal, you know, approximate band at the exact same time as the Queen.

We get Argent, Encore Live.

So we get this massive, uh, the very biggest progressive metal band, quote unquote, somewhat, uh, in Kansas coming out as this UK progressive metal band, somewhat, uh, same time.

Um, November 8th, '74, that's when we get Queen's Sheer Heart Attack, but the very same day, we get Deep Purple Stormbringer, um, a Cat Stevens album, a Frup album.

Styx Man of Miracles, so there's another progressive metal, you know, s- approximate band, uh, at the exact same time as the Queen.

Uh, we get Argent Encore Live, we get Elton John Greatest Hits, and Thin Lizzy Nightlife.

What a great song.

And I would say for a favorite Purple song, for me, it's between Burn and Stormbringer.

I just love Stormbringer so much.

And I know the record was a little bit of a departure at times, but that song, Stormbringer, is just perfect.

And Burn kicks absolute ass in every way.

I appreciate the fact that Richie was willing to get up on stage with the band when they were recently in New York State.

It was the last album to feature Richie Blackmore in the Mark III line-up.

He left Deep Purple after Stormbringer album and went on to form Rainbow, who was on earlier in the show.

And there was a lovely moment a couple of weeks ago when Deep Purple played in Long Island and Richie Blackmore... got back together with Deep Purple.

It was absolutely amazing.

Seeing Ian Gillan, Ian Pace with Don Airy, Roger Glover and Simon McBride as well too on the stage with Richie Blackmore.
