Stockton Museum to host model train event.

Joe Davis County Museum will host an event showcasing its model railroad layout.

The Stockton Heritage Museum will host the Family Train Day event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19th at the Museum 107 West Front Street, according to a press release.

The release states that attendees can view the progress on the museum's Chicago Great Western model railroad layout.

The layout is being updated by Nathan Howe.

The name of each service member will be published on the anniversary date of the person's death.

Authorities provide additional information on Joe Davies County school bus crash.

Authorities have provided additional information about a Joe Davies County school bus crash that resulted in multiple minor injuries.

At about 4:40 PM Tuesday, dispatchers received a call about a crash involving a school bus in rural Stockton, according to a press release from the Joe Davies County Sheriff's Department.

An investigation determined that the bus from the Benton, Wisconsin School District was carrying a middle school football team on Illinois seventy-eight, about a quarter of a mile north of East Chelsea Road.

An online announcement from the Benton District states that the bus was taking a Benton Scales Mound Schullsburg cooperative team to a game in Stockton.

The driver, Ch- Charles Voigt, eighty, of Benton, experienced a medical emergency, crossed the center line, and hit an embankment.

The bus then rolled onto its side, the release states.

No serious injuries were reported.

The release states that about 4.40 p.m. Tuesday, dispatchers received a call about a crash involving a school bus in the area of Illinois 78 North and East Chelsea Road in rural Stockton.

Emergency personnel found the bus on its side across the highway.

The bus was from the Benton, Wisconsin School District.

An online announcement from the district states that the bus was taking the Benton Scales Mounds-Shelsberg Cooperative Middle School football team to a game in Stockton.

The release states that all the children on the bus were accounted for.
