Um, and, uh, yeah, so they took a little laneway down there, got their food, and then rather than sit in, they decided to have a, a bit of fresh air while they, uh, while they enjoyed their food.

And so they sat on the bus stop, um, which for people in Perth, uh, Western Australia, uh, if you haven't driven down Stirling Highway and, and, and passed that bus stop, um, to and from Fremantle, then you basically haven't lived in Western Australia.

Yeah.

Because, I mean, everyone in Western Australia would've made that journey at one time or the other.

Mm.

So he knew his Ford, and he was adamant.

This was another fellow who was driving, well he wasn't driving, was a passenger with his wife, again, uh, near the intersection of Stirling Highway and Bay View Terrace.

Now, this is from a police re-enactment video, which was made shortly after her disappearance in 1997.

[suspenseful music] Did you see anything that might help trace Kirra's footsteps? We do know that at around a quarter past midnight, Kirra was standing outside this computer shop on Stirling Highway.

[footsteps] A nearby restaurant adjacent to the shop had closed for the evening, while Hungry Jack's over the road traded late, as on a typical Friday.

You may have been in the area or driving along Stirling Highway towards the Bay View Terrace intersection.

Did you notice Kirra in her black skirt and white fitted top with her black jacket tied around her waist and knotted at the front? So Tim, I, I guess, um, you found out today that it turns out many people did see Kirra that night.

We heard from a lady who actually worked in that restaurant that was mentioned in the video.

The town of Mossman Park has secured its first illegal dumping prosecution since rolling out mobile CCTV units to hotspots this year.

Council footage caught a non-resident dumping furniture on Stirling Highway using an unregistered vehicle.

Mayor Paul Shaw says the find sends a clear message with the town crediting the cameras and a community education campaign for a drop in dumping incidents.

Perth councils are pushing to make supermarkets pay for abandoned shopping trolleys.

... um, on, on the balcony at, the Continental and had been introduced to her by, um, Kirra's friend Abigail, and this woman, um, Monique O'Neil, who just said, like, she didn't know her but she just remem- she saw her leave, and she saw her heading towards, um, Stirling Highway and just remembered seeing, 'cause she walked past her, that she, um, still had her, like, white top on, um, black skirt, and then just had the jacket tied around her ba- uh, her waist.

So and so she remem- she remembers that, and she possibly was the last person to see her.

Um, Tim, there was some vision played to the court, um, from a BP service station on Stirling Highway.

What did that show and, and how was that significant?

So, you know, they, they, like, you know, it can't be said that they're, they're making it up.

You can see them walk, so walking around the area, um, and no doubt they will be called to give that, that eyewitness account of, of the woman that they say they saw walking down Stirling Highway, and then leaning into that car, and then getting into that car.

Uh, Tom, in, just in your analysis of the trial so far, I mean, is it going how you would expect it to go?
