Stinger

It's a, it's a, it's a thing that I, we just described it earlier in one of our earlier episodes.

Anyway, um, I don't know what you're making that face for, but the, uh, drink that we are having here is called the Stinger.

It is two parts brandy or cognac, and one part white creme de menthe, which, by the way, is the way it's supposed to be pronounced.

I found that out recently.

It's equal parts green crème de menthe, white crème de cacao, and cream.

The Stinger is the drier answer, just burgundy or cognac with white crème de menthe over ice, and it has been a society drink for decades.

September 15th is National Linguine Day.

The name means little tongues in Italy, and the noodle sits wider than spaghetti and narrower than fettuccine.
