You know what? I called around and told people I need volunteers, and I got one person.

So I said, all right, I'll sign up for every single day, and we'll get the word out and make people know that if they're going to do this sleepy midterm thing, then they're going to live the Biden years all over again, but 10x worse, okay? So I'm serious about that.

I think perhaps the threat of the Marxist-Islamist left that has taken over and subsumed so much of the Democratic Party here and other thinking among our young adults would have been or could have stave-been staved off were much more of us had taken their writings and speeches more seriously back when they were less powerful and considered outliers or extreme.

It was easy to dismiss the warnings, let us say, of terrorism from scholars, from Bernard Lewis to Daniel Pipes to Steve Emerson before 9/11.

After 9/11, the best we could do was play catch-up.

And still, too many have not caught up or dismiss such continued and ongoing threats as either theoretical or us doing the warning being hyperbolic or even paranoid.

Um, and I, I s- I saw what happened.

And my first thoughts were Steve Emerson was trying to warn the American government that this could happen in the United States, and it's only a matter of time before it did, but he was ignored.

The Israelis were warning the United States that a major attack will come to the United States.

"You're letting in too many Muslim immigrants, um, uh, without vetting them," and the Israelis were ignored.

Mm.

Uh, Steve Emerson, the in- the, uh, investigative, uh, reporter, uh, actually had some informants in different mosques in America, and they filmed Muslims praying and saying, "Death to America.

Death to America."

This was before 9/11.

And yeah, the whole juggle and evolution.

I have a funny story for that, actually, because I read a book called Steve from Stephen Emerson called American Jihad before I got into the bureau.

And it was about radicalism in the US.

And it wasn't the story itself that was really interesting.
